Perm Pharm Academy admissions committee. Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy . Foundation of the educational institution

New pharmaceutical enterprises urgently began to open, both by public organizations - the Red Cross Society, the Union of Cities, and by private individuals: there was an urgent need for pharmaceutical personnel for industrial production and pharmacies. There was also another need for the formation of a pharmaceutical higher school in the Perm region. The rapid development of the cities of the Urals and the construction of factories there required the development of an educational network. A university was urgently needed. Many scientists advocated its creation: D.I. Mendeleev, A.S. Popov, D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak, as well as such associations as the Ural Society of Natural Science Lovers. Pharmacists and pharmacists of the Urals joined their opinion, hoping for the opening of a pharmaceutical faculty or a pharmaceutical institute. In 1915, the government decided to organize pharmaceutical departments at the physics and mathematics departments of universities and create new universities in the outback. The general increase in the cost of living in connection with the war reduced the number of young people wishing to receive education in the central cities of Petrograd and Moscow. Therefore, Perm was chosen as one of the points for opening new universities as the geographical center of an entire region, in which there were a sufficient number of secondary and lower educational institutions. The first step on this path could be the transfer of Derit University to Perm, desirable in view of the danger of Dorpat being occupied by German troops and the possible looting a priceless university library. A representative of the University of Dorpat even arrived in Perm, but the professors refused to go to the provincial city (later Voronezh was chosen for this purpose). The matter of organizing a university in Perm received such a loud public outcry that it was decided not to transfer part of Petrograd University to Perm and create a Perm branch of Petrograd University. A commission was sent from Petrograd University to Perm, which appointed Professor K.D. Pokrovsky acting rector of the Perm branch of Petrograd University. Young people who graduated from educational institutions in the following provinces - Perm, Arkhangelsk, Vyatka, Vologda, Orenburg educational districts, received the right to enroll as students. Thus, by October 1, 1916, all the prerequisites were formed for the grand opening of the Perm branch of Petrograd University. And on May 5, 1917, the Provisional Government issued a decree to establish Perm University on the basis of the Perm branch of Petrograd University, consisting of three faculties: history and philology, physics and mathematics, and law. The medical department as part of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics was later separated into the Faculty of Medicine. Young and promising scientists from Petrograd, Moscow, Kazan, Yuryev and other university centers came to Perm - a total of 21 teachers. Among them were professors, associate professors, private assistant professors - physiologist plants A.A. Richter, zoologist D.M. Fedotov, physical chemistry specialist D.V. Alekseev, anatomist V.K. Schmidt, physicist G.G. Weikhardt, founder of the school of medical entomologists V.N. Beklemishev, astronomer K.D. Pokrovsky, organic chemist A.I. Lunyak and others. Many of them enjoyed the reputation of being “unreliable.” The English traveler Ya. Greenwald recalled the university of that time: “The center of all cultural life was the university... its students give Perm the character of a scientific and academic town... This circumstance leaves an imprint on the face of the city, which has become one of the republican centers of science, a unique “ Ural Cambridge.” In those years, the names of the visiting scientists were not yet widely known. The promising appearance of a constellation of talents in Perm did not illuminate the Perm scientific horizon for long, until 1920. They traveled to the east of Europe with great hopes, just as European scientists once did to St. Petersburg. Classes at the Department of Pharmacognosy in Microscopy at Oxford and several American universities, author of about 130 scientific papers, winner of prestigious international awards, member of the Royal Society of London. For a long time, students of medical, biological, veterinary and pharmaceutical specialties studied from the book “General Course of Physiology of Animals and Humans,” written by physiologist, one of the creators of the theory of ion excitation, professor at Perm University B.F. Verigo. Professor of botany, researcher of the biology of lower organisms, A.G. Genkel became the head of an entire dynasty of Perm scientists. Histologist Professor A.A. left a bright mark in the history of Perm biology. Zavarzin - later a professor at the capital's universities, academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences and Academy of Medical Sciences, director of the Institute of Cytology, Histology and Embryology of the USSR Academy of Sciences, author of numerous works, laureate of the Stalin Prize, which he received in 1942. The Russian scientific community is also well aware of the name of biologist A.A. Lyubishchev and his scientific works. N.I. is considered the founder of pharmaceutical education in the Urals. Cromer. Before taking up the position of professor at Perm University in October 1917, he worked at the universities of Yuryev - Dorpat - Tartu and Kazan, trained in England, Germany, France, worked at the St. Petersburg Military Medical Academy, became the author of more than 120 scientific papers in the field of pharmacognosy, analytical and toxicological chemistry. These are just some of the names of almost two hundred scientists who made up the scientific corps of Perm University in the first half of the 20th century. They were the “fathers” of scientific directions, schools and societies that existed at the university in the 1920s, publishers of collections of scientific works (since 1929, the collections received a single name - “Scientific Notes of the Perm University”). And in the 1930s, when pharmaceutical, medical, agricultural, pedagogical, chemical-technological and veterinary institutes were separated from the university, the range of scientific research and prospects for their development became even greater. From this moment on, the difficult path of creating a center for pharmaceutical education in the Urals began. Modern Ural pharmacists owe the opportunity to receive a decent professional education to the efforts of several generations of teaching staff. Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy (PGFA ) is one of the oldest universities in the country and one of three independent pharmaceutical universities in Russia. It was created in 1937 as the Perm State Pharmaceutical Institute, renamed in 1995 into the academy, and in 2005 into the state educational institution of higher professional education Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy of the Federal Agency for Health and Social Development. Since 2007, the academy has been certified in the management system quality in relation to educational and research activities in pharmacy for compliance with the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2001 (ISO 9001:2000) and GOST R 52614.2-2006 (IWA 2:2007). The Academy is located very advantageously from a geographical point of view - at the junction European and Asian territories of Russia. This fact, as well as the absence of other similar universities in the Volga, Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern federal districts, determines its special role as an interregional training center. The university trains specialists in various forms of education - higher education (with qualification “pharmacist”), postgraduate ( internship, postgraduate study, doctoral studies), additional professional education (advanced training and retraining of executives and specialists). Her listeners come from 60 regions of Russia and 15 foreign countries. These are Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, China, Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Syria, Sudan, Tunisia, Uzbekistan. Training is conducted at five faculties (pre-university training of youth, full-time and distance learning, training of foreign citizens and additional professional education) and 25 departments. There is a dissertation council. Among the 270 teachers are 38 professors, 163 associate professors, eight members of industry (public) academies, six honored health workers of the Russian Federation, five honored workers of higher education of the Russian Federation. 75% of teachers have academic degrees and titles. More than 50 candidate and 12 doctoral dissertations were defended in the dissertation council from 2007 to 2010. 4,500 students study at the full-time and part-time faculties, including more than 140 foreign students, as well as 50 graduate students, six doctoral students, 70 interns. About 2,000 specialists in practical pharmacy take courses in additional professional education programs annually, and more than 250 future applicants attend the faculty of pre-university training. Since the establishment of the university, over 28,000 pharmacists, 300 masters of pharmacy for foreign countries have been trained, more than 25,000 specialists have improved their qualifications, and 20,000 people have completed certification cycles. Employees of universities in other regions receive professional advice and are provided with educational, methodological and scientific materials (the academy has published about 70 textbooks and teaching aids with the stamp of the Educational and Methodological Association of Medical and Pharmaceutical Universities of Russia and 600 teaching aids). The Academy cooperates in the international market of educational services with such foreign partners as the University of Illinois (USA), Naturwaren GmbH (Homburg, Germany), the international humanitarian organization Handicap International (France), the University of Metz (France); Harbin Medical University (PRC), National University of Singapore, University of Tanzania. General work with the World Health Organization (WHO) is carried out in the field of reforming pharmaceutical education in Russia and the countries of Central Asia, advisory activities in Central Asian countries on the organization of pharmaceutical care and education. International scientific conferences on pharmacology and pharmacy are organized, comprehensive scientific research, competitions for students and young scientists, and mutual internships for teaching staff are conducted.

The Academy conducts serious scientific research, for example, the creation of new drugs based on organic synthesis products and plant materials, improving the drug supply to the population and educational technologies, and many others. Research in 10 leading research and teaching teams is led by Professors V.L. Gein and L.A. Chekryshkina, M.E. Konypin, A.V. Kazyanin, TF. Odegova, G.A. Oleinik, G.I. Oleshko, A.V. Soloninina, B.Ya. Syropyatov, V.V. Yushkov. Five scientific directions occupy leading positions in the development of modern pharmaceutical science and are confirmed by the decision of the academic council of the academy as leading scientific schools.
The achievements of research work are visibly expressed in numerous publications, participation in international and all-Russian scientific conferences and symposiums at various levels, scientific seminars for doctors and health care economists, as well as in an increase in the number of contracts for research development, and the volume of extra-budgetary funding. In the last three years, more than 850 articles and theses have been published (including 260 with the participation of students), nine grants have been received, 26 patents for inventions, 20 applications have been submitted for their receipt, and 20 patents are supported annually. University staff take an active part in the development of standards pharmaceutical education, national standards in the field of pharmacy, in the work of editorial and expert councils of professional publications. It was the Academy that proposed a new formulation of the Federal Law “On Medicines”, defining pharmaceutical activity as professional in the healthcare system. The university makes a significant scientific contribution to the implementation of targeted comprehensive programs of the Perm Territory - the development of new medicines and their industrial production, optimization of drug supply, study of reserves , rational use and protection of thickets of wild medicinal plants, solving environmental problems. A special place is occupied by research on compiling the Inventory of Medicinal Plants, identifying medicinal plants in need of protection and/or inclusion in the Red Book of the Perm Territory, and their reintroduction into nature. There is a close connection between science, education and production. There are educational, research and production complexes: the first was created by the academy together with the research and production association “Biomed” (Perm); the second - with JSC "Medisorb", and the third, "Ecology and Health", - with the Institute of Solid State Chemistry of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Ekaterinburg) and NP "Inorganic Materials" (Perm). Among the areas of their activity are research with the participation of students and teachers on the creation of new drugs and technologies for their production, as well as the publication of joint works in university scientific collections, training of scientific and pedagogical personnel, advanced training of specialists. Active involvement of students in research work through scientific The student society, starting from the first year, allows graduates to develop a scientific worldview and experimental work skills. There are 25 scientific student circles at the departments, in which about 650 students conduct research annually. The best of them were awarded personal scholarships from the President of the Russian Federation, the Governor of the Perm Territory, the Administration of Perm, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Buryatia, the Academic Council of the Academy, and pharmaceutical companies. Since the formation of the Academy, long-term traditions of university education have developed. There is a council for educational work, which includes representatives of departments, group curators, directors of the student club and sports club, chairmen of trade union organizations of students and employees, and the students themselves. The program “Patriotic Youth of the PSFA” has been developed, including holding conferences “The Urals during the Great Patriotic War, 1941-1945”, introducing students to the academy museum. Competitions of professional skills and the “Student Initiation Day” holiday, when first-year students take the oath of a pharmacist, have become traditional. The student club is in charge of student leisure. Five amateur art groups perform. More than 20% of students are involved in 20 sports sections, sports competitions are held in nine sports, tourist rallies, sports festivals, hiking and skiing trips to the forest, trips to a tourist base, and “Rope Course” communication trainings. A separate bright page in the activities of the Provisor sports club are annual river rafting, trips to Altai, Kyrgyzstan, the Tien Shan Mountains, lakes Baikal, Teletskoye and Issyk-Kul. Much attention is paid to the social protection of students through an extensive range of events. In addition, a system has been created to promote the employment of students and the employment of graduates. On issues of their employment (as well as targeted contract training and organization of educational and practical training for students), the Academy cooperates with pharmaceutical institutions of the Perm Territory, the Republics of Mordovia, Buryatia, Komi, Mari-El, Udmurtia, Chuvashia, Sverdlovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Kirov, Chelyabinsk, Arkhangelsk , Orenburg, Kurgan regions, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Saratov. In 2005, a league of graduates of the Perm Pharmaceutical Academy was created, providing advisory support to graduates in finding employment and obtaining additional education. The Academy carries out business activities within the framework of its charter. For this purpose, 12 extra-budgetary structural divisions have been organized, acting as their own educational, research and production base and unique business incubators in various areas of activity: regional testing center of Roszdravnadzor for standardization and quality control of medicines; regional educational and methodological center of Russian healthcare for analytical diagnostics of the presence of narcotic drugs (NS), psychotropic and other toxic substances; regional center for the destruction of drugs and psychotropic substances (PS); pharmaceutical center (eight training and production pharmacies); printing center; dental clinic of the academy; student service center; sports and fitness center; distance learning center; information technology center and 23 temporary creative teams. The university has a material and technical base that meets modern requirements. These are five educational buildings, including the building of the educational, research and development center (the construction of which was financed from extra-budgetary sources of the academy), two student dormitories, six research and production laboratories, a nursery of medicinal plants, a sports and recreation center, and the editorial office of the newspaper "SIGNA" A prominent place in the life of the academy is occupied by the scientific library of the academy, which was founded simultaneously with it. Its organizer and first director was S.S. Bogoslovsky, who graduated from the Perm Theological Seminary and the Faculty of History and Philology of Perm State University. Nowadays the total collection of the library is 269,000 items, of which 139,300 are scientific literature, 118,500 are educational literature, 71,600 are magazines. The journal “Pharmacy” has been kept since its first edition, 1927. Scientific foreign literature amounts to 14,200 copies, published in European languages mainly in the 20th century. There is a fund of rare books: pharmacy of European countries, educational publications on medicine and chemistry, as well as individual monographs. This is mainly literature of the 19th - early 20th centuries. The library has introduced new information technologies, electronic filing cabinets, but there is also a system of traditional catalogs and filing cabinets. Tests and exams at the Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy (Perm)

The pharmacist profession is a very prestigious one, so every year there is a lot of competition among applicants. We offer high-quality admission services to everyone who wants to study via distance learning at the Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy. With our help, you will become a student at one of the most prestigious higher educational institutions in the country.

In our country there is a specialized university for training pharmacists. It is called the Perm Pharmaceutical Academy (PGFA). Officially, this educational institution has existed for several decades, but its origins arose a century ago. In 1918, a pharmaceutical department was opened in Perm. It started working on the basis of a local classical university.

Foundation of the educational institution

The pharmaceutical department, later transformed into the chemical-pharmaceutical faculty, existed for quite a long time. The training of specialists was carried out until 1930 - until the classical university was closed. When the educational organization ceased to exist, the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Faculty began independent activities. It announced the enrollment of students, becoming a chemical-technological institute.

A year later, the formed higher education institution was transferred to another locality. In order to train pharmacists again, a pharmaceutical faculty was opened in the city of Perm on the basis of the Perm Medical Institute, and in 1936 this structural unit became an independent educational institution. The new university was named Perm State Pharmaceutical Institute.

University development

In 1995, the educational institution could already sum up its past activities and outline plans for the future, because a new page in its history had begun. The institute was transformed into an academy. Today, the educational organization continues to bear this status. She has not yet reached university status, but she still has everything ahead of her.

Today the university is a fairly developed and modern educational institution. The Perm Pharmaceutical Academy is located in 5 educational buildings, has its own educational and production pharmacy, and a nursery of medicinal plants. To carry out high-quality activities, the required number of classrooms has been equipped, and a considerable number of laboratories have been equipped (for example, laboratories for biotechnological research, nuclear magnetic resonance).

Internal structure

Perm Pharmaceutical Academy includes 3 main divisions:

  1. Faculty of Pre-University Training of Youth. It is here that some future students begin their studies at the university. This structural unit prepares applicants for passing the exams required for admission (Russian language, chemistry, biology, mathematics at the specialized level).
  2. Faculty of full-time education. This unit, as the name implies, is engaged in the implementation of full-time education in all available educational programs - in “chemical technology” and “biotechnology” of the bachelor’s degree, in “pharmacy” of the specialty and in the “pharmacy” department of secondary vocational education.
  3. Correspondence department of the PSFA. In this structural unit, training is carried out only in the “pharmacy” specialty.

There are also 2 additional faculties in the structure. One of them prepares foreign citizens for university studies. Another division is called the Faculty of Additional Professional Education. Its mission is to implement advanced training and professional retraining programs.

Students about the educational process at PSFA

Students say that the educational process is organized at the proper level in this university in Perm. For lectures there are 5 large halls with a capacity of 600 seats. These classrooms have multimedia installations. Subjects are studied by students not only from books and information that is provided electronically. Visual aids, various models, etc. are often used in classes.

Training in specialties is not complete without practical training, as in any other higher education institution. In the I, III and IV years, students undergo several educational practices:

  • pharmaceutical propaedeutic in the first semester (4 days);
  • fieldwork in botany in the second semester (2 weeks);
  • medical orientation in the V semester (4 days);
  • on pharmacognosy in the VI semester (4 weeks);
  • in general pharmaceutical technology in the VIII semester (1 and 1/3 weeks).

In the fifth year, practical training begins. There are 3 of them - on quality control of medicines (more than 2 weeks), on pharmaceutical technology (more than 2 weeks) and on the management and economics of pharmacy institutions (12 weeks).

What students say about dormitories

Nonresident students who want to study in medical specialties can safely enter the Perm Pharmaceutical Academy. The university has a dormitory and more than one. The educational organization owns 2 buildings, which are located in the city center.

First It includes one-, two- and five-room apartments. The total number of students that can be accommodated here is 688 people. The second dormitory is standard, corridor type. Each room of the building is occupied by 3 people. The total number of places is 600.

Students say that the dormitories are well equipped. They contain:

  • self-study rooms;
  • libraries with reading rooms;
  • canteens;
  • rooms for amateur performances;
  • sports rooms;
  • Internet class (in dormitory no. 2).
