Favorite places in Beijing: parks and squares. Unusual China. Natural Attractions Beijing Tours

Chinese parks are one of the most wonderful and wonderful wonders of the Middle Kingdom. Places of strength and tranquility. Whimsical tiled paths wind through, willows bend along the shores of silt and duckweed lakes, in which lotuses bloom and bright goldfish swim - paintings from Chinese painting that you've only seen in albums before. There are carved bridges and stone lions across the connecting lakes and rivers, and shady, cozy gazebos on the hills ..

However, the Chinese park is nothing without its inhabitants. - amazing and unique in its kind. Life is boiling, but very harmonious: they let kites in the gazebos, play shuttlecock on the lawns, do various practices on the lawns among the trees, dance tango or dance with swords and fans in the evening.

So, Beijing parks. All points can be found in marked

国子监

Park behind the Temple of Confucius and the Imperial Academy

Friends who lived near this place told us that if you go through the main entrance to the front yard to the Temple of Comfucius, and then turn left, you will find yourself in a small adjacent garden of the Imperial Academy "Guozijian". Unlike the Temple of Confucius, there are almost no tourists there; in the middle of the courtyard there are centuries-old pines and turtles with stone steles on their backs. It turned out to be a very soulful subway.

This page provides a small guide to the main attractions in Beijing. Of course, here is only a small part of what can be seen in the city itself and its suburbs. I tried to list here the main, in my opinion, sights of Beijing, those places - temples and monasteries, museums, historical sites, streets, etc., which are worth visiting in the first place. Preference was given to those places that are easily accessible by public transport... Among the listed sights of Beijing, you will find both very popular tourist places and those that are known only to Beijing residents and those visitors who are in love with this city.

Next to the name of the sights of Beijing, their Chinese name is written in Russian. Peking Opera- this is "feelings conveyed by gestures", the theater of masks, a special unique mixture of theater, pantomime, acrobatics, circus and carnival action. The main paradox is that in the Peking opera they sing in falsetto, and the female roles are played by men. It originated, like the entire theater, from ancient street performances. It is from there that the set of attributes and the main characters originate. The most common: qing yu is a beautiful young girl, hua dan is a married woman, wu chen is a warrior or official, xiao chen is a young man, lao chen is a middle-aged man. Negative (Fu Jing) and positive (Zheng Jing) are distinguished by bright coloring of faces. Colors are of great importance, for example, gold and silver tones are inherent in monsters or immortals. The plots are quite simple: good old tales of love with an inevitable happy ending.

Peking Opera performances can be viewed at Liyuan Theater(inside the Qianmen Hotel), Jixian(not far from the Wangfujin pedestrian street, opposite the Taiwan Hotel), Metropolitan Theater(in the same area, south of the Sara Hotel), the largest opera hall in the city - Chinese Bolshoi Theater, north of the Shangri-La hotel.
