Power line near the house norm. Is there life near power lines

In the 60s of the XX century it was discovered hazardous effects of electromagnetic fields power lines  on the human body.

The state of health of people who are in close contact with the power lines in the production environment or living nearby is about the same. People complain of increased fatigue, irritability, memory problems, sleep disturbance, depression, migraine, disorientation in space, muscle weakness, problems with the cardiovascular system, hypotension, visual impairment, atrophy of color perception, reduced immunity, potency, changes in the blood. This list can be continued with a whole series of physiological disorders and all sorts of diseases.

It has been proven that people living in the vicinity of power lines have oncological diseases, serious disorders of reproductive function, as well as the so-called electromagnetic hypersensitivity syndrome. It’s pretty scary to hear research reports from some foreign scientists on the effect of high-voltage power lines on children's health. It was found that children living at a distance of up to 150 meters from power lines, substations, are twice as likely to suffer from leukemia, and almost all of them have disorders of the nervous system.

In some countries, there is a medical term such as electromagnetic allergy. People suffering from it have the opportunity to change their place of residence for free, as far as possible from sources of electromagnetic radiation. All this is officially sponsored by the government! How can I comment on the energy sector of the possible danger posed by power lines? First of all, they insist that the voltage of electric current in power lines may be different, and therefore it is necessary to distinguish between safe and dangerous voltage. The range of the magnetic field generated by the power lines is directly proportional to the power of the line itself. The professional determines the voltage class of power lines by the number of wires in a bundle not on the support itself:

- 2 wires - 330 kV;

- 3 wires - 500 kV;

- 4 wires - 750 kV.

The smaller voltage class of power lines is determined by the number of insulators:
  - 3-5 insulators - 35 kV;

- 6-8 insulators - 110 kV;

- 15 insulators - 220 kV.

In order to protect the population from the harmful effects of power lines, there are special standards that define a certain sanitary zone, conventionally starting from the last wire of a power transmission line projected on the ground:

- Voltage less than 20 kV - 10 m;

- Voltage less than 35 kV - 15 m;

- Voltage less than 110 kV - 20 m;

- Voltage less than 150-220 kV - 25 m;

- Voltage less than 330 - 500 kV - 30 m;

- Voltage less than 750 kV - 40 m.

These standards apply to Moscow and the Moscow region, in accordance with them and allocated for building sites. These standards do not take into account the harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation, and in fact it is sometimes dozens and sometimes hundreds of times. more dangerous to health!

So that the magnetic field does not affect health status, multiply each of these indicators by 10. It turns out that low-power transmission lines are harmless only at a distance of 100 meters! Power line wires are fraught with stress, the maximum contact with the threshold of the corona discharge. Under bad weather conditions, this discharge dumps a cloud of oppositely charged ions into the atmosphere. The electric field created by them, even at a great distance from the power lines, can be much more than acceptable harmless quantities.

The new project of the Moscow government on the transfer of some sections of high-voltage power lines under the ground. The vacated city hall plans to put under construction. This is where the logical question arises - will the underground power lines be safe for the people living above them? Will the developers call energy specialists on the area planned for housing construction? Electromagnetic radiation from underground power lines and its impact on the human body, unfortunately, is still little studied.

The first in the cave will leave power lines, located in areas - Leninsky Prospekt, Prospect Mira and Schelkovskoe highway. Further, it is planned to remove the power lines of the North-Eastern Administrative District under the land, namely in the North and South Medvedkovo, as well as in Bibirevo and Altufevo. These territories are already put up for sale and are waiting for their investors. In total, there are more than a hundred power lines and open-type power substations in the capital. Potential developers of land from under power lines, and with them the Moscow government, argue that modern technology will completely isolate electromagnetic radiation. For this purpose it is planned to use coaxial cables laid in special shielding collectors.

The transfer of power lines under the ground procedure is expensive (about 1 million euros per 1 km of cable laid), and therefore there is no guarantee that developers will not “save”. Consequently, there is no certainty that housing erected over power lines will become safe in all respects.

The most correct decision is to buy a home in a safe area - where there isn’t harm to health! ♌

We catch a goldfish on the Internet

Power lines in operation create in the adjacent space electric and magnetic fields of industrial frequency. The distance that the electromagnetic fields from the wires of the line extend to tens of meters. The propagation range of the electromagnetic field depends on the voltage of the power lines (the figure indicating the voltage class is in the name of the power lines - for example, power lines 220 kV), the higher the voltage - the greater the area of the increased level of the electromagnetic field, while the dimensions of the area do not change during the time of power lines.

The range of propagation of the magnetic field of power lines depends on the magnitude of the flowing current or the load line. Since the load of power lines can repeatedly change both during the day and with the change of the seasons of the year, the dimensions of the zone of elevated level of the electromagnetic field also change.

The impact of power lines on human health

Electromagnetic fields of power transmission lines are very strong factors influencing the state of all biological objects that fall into the zone of their impact. For example, in the zone of the greatest effect of the electric field, near high-voltage power transmission towers and power line traces, insects show changes in behavior: this is how the bees show increased aggressiveness, anxiety, decreased efficiency and productivity, a tendency to lose queens; in beetles, mosquitoes, butterflies and other flying insects, a change in behavioral reactions is observed, including a change in the direction of movement to the side with a lower level of the field. Plants often have anomalies of development - the shapes and sizes of flowers, leaves, and stems change, and extra petals appear.

The specific feature of the operation of power lines are associated with the effect on the environment of a complex of biological factors of electromagnetic nature, which includes:

- variable electromagnetic potential on the wire;

- electric leakage currents;

- electric grounding currents in the soil;

- corona discharge;

- ionizing radiation;

- under the power line, which extends over many hundreds of kilometers, there is a large land, called the “right of way”.

The influence of the electromagnetic field on the human body

On the human body affects a long stay in the area of power lines. Short-term exposure for a few minutes can only affect hypersensitive people or in patients with certain types of allergies. For example, the work of British scientists in the early 90s showed that a number of allergy sufferers under the influence of the electromagnetic field of an electric transmission line develop an organism response in the manner of epileptic. With a prolonged stay (months - years) of a person in the electromagnetic field of a power transmission line, diseases of the cardiovascular and nervous systems of the human body can develop. In recent years, among the long-term effects are often called oncological diseases of people.

The greatest influence of the electric field of power lines has on a person in shoes, isolating him from the ground. In this case, a potential is induced on a person’s conducting body, isolated from the ground, depending on the ratio of the capacitance of the body to the ground and to the power line wires. The smaller the capacity on the ground (the thicker, for example, the sole of the shoe), the greater the induced potential, which can be several kilovolts and even reach 10 kV.

Based on the design features of the transmission line (wire sagging), the greatest influence of the electromagnetic field on a person is manifested in the middle of the span, where the intensity for the ultrahigh-voltage lines at the level of human height is 5-20 kV / m and higher depending on the voltage class and design lines.

At power transmission poles, where the height of the wire suspension is greatest and the shielding effect of the supports, the field strength is the smallest. Since people, animals, transport can be under the wires of power lines, it becomes necessary to assess the possible consequences of a long and short-term stay of people in the area of power lines, in an electric field of various strengths.

In experiments conducted by many researchers, a clear threshold value of the intensity of the electromagnetic field of power transmission lines was found, at which a dramatic change in the response of the human body occurs. The value is determined to be 160 kV / m, the lower intensity of the electromagnetic field does not cause any noticeable harm to a person.

The intensity of the electromagnetic field in the areas of the transmission lines of 750 kV at a height of human height is about 5-6 times less than the dangerous values. The adverse effect of the electric field of industrial frequency on the human body serving the power transmission towers and the substation of an open switchgear voltage of 500 kV and above has been revealed; at a voltage of 380 and 220 kV, this action is weakly expressed. But at all voltages, the effect of a high frequency field on the human body depends on the duration of being in it.

On the basis of the conducted research, sanitary norms and rules have been developed, where the minimum allowable distances for the location of residential buildings from stationary radiating objects, such as power transmission towers, are indicated. These standards also provide for the maximum permissible (limiting) levels of electromagnetic radiation for other energy-hazardous objects. In some cases, bulky metal screens in the form of sheets, grids and other devices are used to protect the person.

Sanitary norms of power lines

Studies of the influence of electromagnetic fields of industrial frequency (EMF frequency converter) on a person performed in the USSR in the 1960s – 1970s focused mainly on the effect of the electrical component, since experimentally no significant effect of the magnetic component was found. In the 70s, strict standards were put in place for the population according to the EF HR and are still among the toughest in the world. They are set out in the Sanitary norms and rules “Protection of the population from the effects of the electric field created by overhead power lines of alternating current of industrial frequency” No. 2971-84. In accordance with these sanitary standards, all power supply facilities are designed and built.

However, at present, numerous studies by scientists in various countries have shown that weak electromagnetic fields (EMF), whose power is measured in thousandths of watts, are no less dangerous to humans, and in some cases even more dangerous than electromagnetic radiation from high-power transmission lines. Scientists attribute this to the fact that the intensity of weak electromagnetic fields is comparable with the intensity of the radiation of the human body itself, its internal energy, which is formed as a result of the functioning of all systems and organs, including the cellular level. Such low (non-thermal) intensities are characterized by the radiation of electronic household appliances that are available today in every home. These are mainly computers, televisions, mobile phones, microwave ovens, etc. They are the sources of harmful to humans, the so-called. anthropogenic EMR that have the property of accumulating in humans, disrupting its bioenergy balance, and first of all, the so-called energy information exchange (ENIO). And this, in turn, affects the normal functioning of the main systems of the human body. Numerous studies in the field of the influence of electromagnetic fields on humans made it possible to determine that the greatest influence of electromagnetic fields on the nervous, immune, endocrine and sexual systems of the body. Irradiation of EMFs under conditions of prolonged long-term exposure to humans can lead to the development of long-term effects on the body, including degenerative processes of the human central nervous system, blood cancer (leukemia), brain tumors, hormonal diseases, etc.

Today, it is not a secret to anyone that the magnetic field is considered the most dangerous for human health, however, the maximum permissible magnetic field for the population in Russia and Ukraine is not standardized. There is one reason - there is no money for research and development of norms. Most of the routes of power transmission towers in Russia and Ukraine were built without taking this danger into account.

On the basis of mass epidemiological surveys of the population living under irradiation with magnetic fields of power lines as a safe or “normal” level for conditions of prolonged irradiation that do not lead to oncological diseases, the Swedish and American experts recommended each other independently of each other 0.2 - 0.3 μT.

Human protection from the adverse effects of electromagnetic fields of power lines

The basic principle of protecting human health from the electromagnetic field of power transmission lines is to establish sanitary protection zones for power lines and reduce the electric field in residential buildings and in places where people can stay for a long time through the use of protective shields.

According to the norms, a person’s stay without protective equipment in an electric field with a voltage of up to 5 kV / m inclusive can be indefinitely long. For power transmission lines of 500 kV, the field strength of 5 kV / m is reached under the wires located at a height of less than 15 m from the earth's surface, and the field strength of 10 kV / m is reached under the wires located at a height of less than 8 m.

Under lines in difficult terrain (for example, swamps, mountain slopes) an electric field strength of 20 kV / m is allowed; for uninhabited areas - 15 kV / m, at intersections with roads - 10 kV / m and for populated areas, where people can often be under lines - 5 kV / m. In addition, the allowable tension at the boundaries of residential buildings is normalized to 1.5 kV / m, and a person’s lifetime is allowed. It should be noted that the specified field strength values are determined at the level of a human head (1.8 m above the ground).

The boundaries of sanitary protection zones for power transmission lines of which on existing lines are determined by the criterion of the electric field strength - 1 kV / m.

For high-voltage overhead power lines (OHL), sanitary protection zones of power transmission lines are established on both sides of the projection of the outermost wires of the OHL to the ground. These zones determine the minimum distance to the nearest residential, industrial and non-industrial buildings and structures.

Sanitary zones of power lines according to СН № 2971-84

Overvoltage 0.4 kV power lines Power line 10 kV 35 kV power lines 110 kV power lines LEP 220-330 kV Power line 500 kV 750 kV transmission line
Sanitary size

(security) zone

2m 10m 15m 20m 25 m 30 m 40 m

Additional requirements are placed on the placement of ultra-high voltage overhead lines (750 and 1150 kV) for the conditions of an electric field effect on a person. So, the closest distance from the axis of the projected paths of high-voltage transmission lines 750 and 1150 kV to the borders of settlements should be, as a rule, not less than 250 and 300 m, respectively.

How to determine the voltage support of power lines? It is best to contact your local energy company, but you can try visually, although it is difficult for a non-specialist:

330 kV - 2 wires on traverses of power lines, 500 kV - 3 wires on traverses of power lines, 750 kV - 4 wires. Below 330 kV one wire per phase can only be determined by the number of insulators in the garland: 220 kV 10 -15 pcs., 110 kV 6-8 pcs., 35 kV 3-5 pcs., 10 kV and below - 1 pc. .

Acceptable Electric Field Effects

Remote control, kW / m Conditions of exposure to an electric field
0,5 inside residential buildings
1,0 in the residential area
5,0 in populated areas outside the residential area; (land cities within
  the city limits within the limits of their perspective development for 10 years, suburban and
  green areas, resorts, urban land within the village
  features of rural settlements within the limits of these points) as well as on
  the territory of gardens and orchards;
10,0 at the intersection of overhead power lines with automotive
  roads 1 - IV categories;
15,0 in uninhabited areas (undeveloped areas, at least often
  frequented by people, accessible to transport, and agricultural
  grounds);
20,0 in difficult terrain (inaccessible to transport and
  agricultural machines) and in areas specially fenced for
  exclusion of public access.

Within the sanitary protection zone of the OHL it is prohibited to:

  • build residential and public buildings and facilities;
  • arrange parking and stopping places for all types of transport;
  • locate car service enterprises and warehouses of oil and oil products;
  • perform operations with fuel, carry out repairs of machines and mechanisms;
  • to carry out all kinds of mining, explosive, reclamation work, planting trees, watering crops;
  • block the entrances and approaches to the towers overhead lines;
  • arrange sports grounds, stadiums, transport stops, carry out any activities associated with a large crowd of people.

Carrying out the necessary measures in the security zone of the power transmission lines can be carried out only upon receipt of a written permit for the performance of work from the enterprise (organization) in charge of these networks. The use of territories located in the zone of power transmission lines is governed by the new Rules for the Establishment of Protected Zones of Electric Network Facilities and Special Conditions for the Use of Land Plots located within the boundaries of such zones.

The territories of the sanitary zones of power lines are allowed to be used as agricultural land, however it is recommended to grow crops on them that do not require manual labor of a person.
If in some areas the electric field strength outside the sanitary protection zone is higher than the maximum permissible 0.5 kV / m inside the building and higher than 1 kV / m in the territory of the residential development zone (in places where people may live), Measures should be taken to reduce tensions. To do this, on the roof of a building with a non-metallic roof is placed almost any metal mesh, grounded at least two points. In buildings with a metal roof, it is enough to ground the roof at least at two points. In homestead plots or other places where people stay, the intensity of the field of industrial frequency can be reduced by installing protective screens, for example, reinforced concrete, metal fences, cable screens, trees or shrubs at least 2 m high.

Life next to power lines: a dangerous neighborhood

The main danger from power lines is electromagnetic fields. Scientists rank them as one of the most serious types of environmental pollution. “Electromagnetic smog” relentlessly, and most importantly, invisibly pursues the modern man: electromagnetic fields in a multitude surround us practically everywhere, wherever we are.

The effect of electromagnetic radiation, if we are talking about low doses that do not exceed the norm, is expressed primarily in the disruption of the central nervous system. This can manifest as headache, sleep disturbance, depression and fatigue.

At high doses of electromagnetic radiation that are far from sanitary standards, a person may be susceptible to impaired immune, endocrine and reproductive systems, as well as the development of chronic, including, as suggested by researchers, and oncological diseases.

It is rather difficult to protect oneself from electromagnetic fields emanating from power lines, especially if you live in close proximity to them: I must admit with sadness that even today we still have “spontaneous settlements” somewhere in the suburban area right next to them or even under these lines! Many manage (primarily because of the cheapness of such housing) to build dacha plots there with small kitchen gardens, apparently unaware of the danger of such a neighborhood. Yes, and in the urban area there are often houses built close to these lines: some of today's developers are not far from other Soviet officials in terms of environmental and social awareness. Therefore, the best way to protect in this case is simply not to live in the immediate vicinity of the power lines. So, if for some reason your house is located in an unsafe proximity to these lines (sanitary norms of safe location, see below), the best possible solution would be to move to a safer area.

Still, protection is possible. For these purposes, special protective screens are used, made of materials that prevent the propagation of electromagnetic fields. Of course, screening is not cheap, and there are very few companies involved in their installation in our market, but they still exist, you just have to look. For example, the installation of such screens involved some companies that provide environmental expertise.

With typical urban development, such screens, of course, are not provided, so you should not even ask about the possibility of their presence in the local DESA. They need to be installed independently.
  “Warned means protected”, therefore the best that can be advised in this case is, as always, preventive measures.

And this is primarily the observance of sanitary protection standards in the construction of housing, which offer the optimum for relative safety distance of residential facilities from power lines, depending on the power of each of the transmission lines.

Thus, according to SanPiN N 2971-84, if the power line voltage is 330 kV, then this distance (the length of the sanitary protection zone) should be 20, at a voltage of 500 kV, the safe distance is 30, at 750 kV - 40 m, and at 1150 - 55 m.

For densely built cities, where lines of lesser power are also common, there are different standards for the distance between residential buildings and power lines.

How to determine the power of each specific power lines? It can be calculated by the number of wires or by the number of insulators in the garland, depending on the power of the line voltage.

So, if a power transmission line consists of just one wire, then its power is less than 330 kV. If there are two wires, then the power of such a line is 330 kV, three - 500 kV, four - 750 kV. The line containing from 6 to 8 wires has a power of 1150 kV.

The voltage of low-power transmission lines can be determined by the number of insulators in the garland: 15 pcs. - 220 kV, 6-8 pcs. - 110 kV, 3-5 pcs. - 35 kV, 1 pc. - 10 kV.

Choosing a property , we weigh many factors - the quality of access roads, distance from the city center, the development of communications, etc. But when communications in the form of high-voltage power lines (LEP) are right above your head, the question arises how safe it is. And often sell a house near the power lines - a big problem.

In the USSR, the magnetic component of the radiation of high-voltage power lines was not at all taken into account in safety standards. Allowed and construction in the area of power lines, and accommodation. Permissible in Russia since 2007, the indicators of magnetic radiation today are ten times higher than similar standards in Scandinavia and several other European countries.

Most experts interviewed by the BN advise you to weigh and even take some measurements before buying or building a new home near the power lines.

LOOK INTO HISTORY

Oddly enough, mankind is much more aware of safe levels of radiation than on critical levels of electromagnetic radiation. High-voltage power lines - these are exactly the sources of the electromagnetic field of industrial frequency - 50 Hz. Their wires are a kind of antenna for radio waves of enormous length - 6 million m, these waves are called "megameters". For comparison: FM radio stations broadcast on waves of several meters in length, and GSM cellular networks use decimeter waves.

In the USSR, the permissible standards took into account only the electric component of the field, and the effect on the human body of the magnetic component was not evaluated at all.

With the electric intensity of the electric field problems just does not arise. The maximum allowable level of tension inside the premises is 0.5 kilovolts per meter (kV / m), in residential areas - 1.0 kV / m. According to experts, it is very difficult to exceed it, therefore in the “Soviet” version, under lines up to 220 kV, it was allowed to stay arbitrarily and sometimes even be built. Cottage villages under high-voltage lines met quite often. Later, the so-called security zones of power lines appeared, designed to protect the structures themselves rather than public health. Anyway, they took into account the distance from the house to the power lines.

MAGNETISM SCARY ELECTRICITY

“Most of our practical studies confirm that the electric field strength near power lines does not exceed the established standards. On the magnetic field - everything is not so clear. The magnitude of the magnetic field depends on the currents passing through the wires, the material of the building walls, and even the construction of power transmission poles, ”said Oleg Grigoriev, director of the Center for Electromagnetic Safety, member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the EMF and Health program of the World Health Organization (WHO). A number of Western studies show that when living near power lines, the risk of a number of diseases increases, and this is precisely because of the magnetic component. Some results are alarming.

Thus, Swedish scientists have found that people living at a distance of up to 800 m from power lines with a voltage of 200 kV are statistically more likely to have leukemias, brain tumors, and breast oncology. In men, reproductive function decreases, the percentage of boys is reduced. The researchers found that the fault of all the problems listed was an increased level of the magnetic component of the electromagnetic field, and evaluated the dangerous threshold of the density of the magnetic flux at 0.1 microtesla (µT).

Finnish experts arrived at a similar conclusion. True, they conducted research in the 500-meter corridor from power transmission lines of 110–400 kV. A dangerous threshold, Finnish scientists found the value of the magnetic flux density of 0.2 µT.

GRACE OF RISK

The WHO Cancer Research Agency referred the industrial frequency magnetic field (IHRL) with a flux density higher than 0.3-0.4 μT to the “possible carcinogenic” group 2B. To be clear, there is also a group 2A (“probable carcinogens”) and group 1, which, in fact, includes absolutely proven carcinogens. WHO experts admit that the magnetic component of the industrial-purity electromagnetic field with a flux density higher than 0.3-0.4 μT - “under conditions of prolonged chronic exposure, may be a carcinogenic environmental factor”.

In fairness, we note that in the new millennium and the Russian standards also "saw" at last the danger of the magnetic component of the field. SanPiN 2.1.2 1002-00 set the limit value of a magnetic indicator for residential premises at 10 μT, and for a residential area - 50 μT. Since November 10, 2007, a more stringent framework, 5 and 10 µT, respectively, came into force. Alas, even these figures are ten times higher than the “Scandinavian” threshold of 0.2 μT, which has become the official criterion for many states.

“A number of countries have confirmed these regulations legislatively. These are Switzerland, the Scandinavian countries, Israel and some others. But Russia is not on this list. I consider it appropriate for newly commissioned residential facilities and for all school and preschool institutions to adhere to the WHO recommendation on this issue. Although this does not have a hygienic justification, the precautionary principle of the WHO is precisely designed for such situations, ”says Oleg Grigoriev.

While representatives of the scientific world can not find a biological justification for the effects of IHRL on the human body. There is a special opinion. Say, power lines can not have a significant impact on human health, because at distances of 200 meters from the wires, the magnetic field formed by them is less than the magnetic field of the Earth, which is 30-50 μT. However, it should not be forgotten that the magnetic field of our planet is relatively constant, and does not vibrate at a frequency of 50 Hz per second, like an IHRL.

ENEMIES EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL

When inspecting the property is not worth immediately panic if the power lines are found nearby. To get started, appreciate her stress. In Russia, the most frequent power transmission lines with voltage of 6, 10, 35, 110, 150, 220, 330 and 500 kV. It is possible to determine which voltage of this line can be indirectly calculated by counting the number of insulators (in power lines up to 220 kV), or the number of wires in one bundle (“bundle”) for lines from 330 kV and above.

In areas of individual housing construction, 6-10 kV lines run through the streets, less often 35 kV. You will have to come to terms with this (if even such power lines are scared of a potential buyer, you should think about moving to an non-electrified eco-settlement). A more serious danger is represented by power lines from 110 to 750 kV.

“And the matter is not even in the electromagnetic field, or rather, not only in it. Power transmission lines are a source of increased danger: hurricanes, wire breaks, lightning strikes into power transmission towers - all this, alas, cannot be ruled out, ”says Sergey Urzhumov, chief occupational health specialist from the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Protection in the Novosibirsk Region.

If there is a choice, construction under the power lines, of course, is undesirable. Theoretically, a dwelling house located near power lines can be protected. A grounded roof made of corrugated metal or metal tile, the reinforcing mesh inside the walls (well, therefore, radio waves are best weakened by reinforced concrete walls) protects the electric field well. But the roof and the grid must be reliably grounded. In order to suppress the magnetic fields of industrial frequency, it may additionally be necessary to screen them with ferromagnets or multilayer “pies” of special steel grades.

But even if all this is organized and put on protection from external danger, you should not forget that you will be supplied with a refrigerator, an iron, and even a cozy home floor lamp with electromagnetic fields of industrial frequency. Look at the table below and you will understand - in addition to the external electromagnetic "enemies" in the house there are many potentially dangerous internal sources.

Power lines will go under the ground

If Russia, following the developed countries, recognizes the level of IHRL at least 0.4 mTL as dangerous, this will seriously affect the real estate market, since a significant number of individual and multi-family houses, kindergartens and schools will be in the zone of elevated level of IHRL. The authorities will have to organize costly work in order to reduce the level of the magnetic field. Perhaps the question will be about the transfer of a particular transmission line. However, in large cities, particularly in Moscow and St. Petersburg, programs have been developed for transferring power lines from the surface to the ground. In many ways, this is being done in order to free up expensive land plots that are currently under power lines for development. In this case, the thickness of the earth can become a natural barrier to the propagation of electromagnetic waves, and it will become easier to achieve a safe level of radiation. However, experts point to the danger of poor-quality installation of underground lines, since the cost of the transfer is estimated at 1 million euros per 1 km, and developers will be tempted to save on safety. After all, if aerial transmission lines are always available for monitoring by the operating and controlling organizations, then the dungeon, as is known, is a dark matter.

But air lines can be made safer. “Today there are projects of supports, when due to the suspension of wires, splitting of phases, etc., there is a vector compensation of the field,” says Oleg Grigoriev.

MAKE CONCLUSIONS

According to most experts, it is better to get or build a new home away from power lines. And not only because of the possible impact of the IHRL. The “psi-factor” can play a huge role, when the real danger will be much less than the phobias of the residents.

“I will give a funny case. The owners of the country house noticed that after the construction of a nearby base station of a mobile operator near the site, the bees disappeared and the number of flies and wasps dropped dramatically. When checking it turned out that the station had not yet been connected. So many appeals are due to purely psychological reasons - suspiciousness and fears, ”says Sergey Urzhumov.

If the house or apartment is located near the power lines and the potential buyer has doubts, you can call the specialists of Rospotrebnadzor and determine the levels of electric and magnetic fields. But since the level of the magnetic component depends on the amount of current in the wires, it is necessary to know in advance in the energy company what mode the power lines are in at the time of diagnosis.

In the USSR, the permissible standards took into account only the electric component of the field, and the effect on the human body of the magnetic component was not evaluated at all.

Buying a home in the secondary market: what are the risks? When purchasing an apartment, room or house in the secondary market, it is necessary \u003e\u003e  With the electric intensity of the electric field problems just does not arise.

Magnetism is worse than electricity.

Risk edge

Power lines go underground

Draw conclusions
